The following requirements apply to all enrolled CJHS students and all computer and technological facilities in the school.

Students shall at all times demonstrate the highest level of respect for the school’s computers and other hardware, software and networks, and shall use these resources only in ways that are appropriate and consistent with the educational goals and values of the school.

Students and parents must sign an Internet policy agreement prior to use. Network and school administrators may review files and communications to maintain system integrity and to insure that users are accessing the system responsibly.

The following guidelines are provided so to give students an awareness of their responsibilities. The use of this equipment is a privilege, not a right. Keep these rules in mind and make your electronic journey a productive one.

  • Not cause or take part in any electronic vandalism which is any malicious attempt to harm or destroy data of another user, network, or technological equipment or programs.
  • Not give out personal information, passwords and or use another student’s personal information or password.
  • Not violate copyright laws. Only use others information when the owner of the files gives explicit authorization.
  • Agree to random checks of files and/or e-mail to determine whether these accounts are being used in an appropriate manner.
  • Consent to never intentionally view vulgar or abusive material or use obscene language on the school network or Internet.
  • Do not promote or respond to any messages that are mean or in any way or make anyone feel uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I receive a message of this type. If I do, I will tell my teacher.
