Library

As the library is located at the center of the building, life at the Cardston Junior High School literally revolves around the Library.

The school library provides learning services, books and resources that enable all members of the school community to become critical thinkers and effective users of information.

Todays school libraries are evolving and changing along with our current information needs. They still house traditional print resources, such as books magazines, etc..., but also an abundanceof other media.

The introduction of new technologies is also chaning libraries and how they serve their schools. The use of computers in libraries has transformed how information is organized, gathered, and delivered to patrons. The new school library is one without walls, without physical or geographical barriers.

This information revolution makes the school library a crucial resource. Retrieving data through our new forms of media requires access to both computer hardware and software and the knowledge and means to use them. School libraries are also of critical importance when it comes to managing the sheer mass of information now being produced around the world.
